Scratch that

Decided against using the original logo concept. I'm now using this one, that I came up with a while ago.

Wednesday, March 2, 2011

I've been asking around on my main blog what people prefer out of the two logo ideas and the response has been 100% teal over pink. I have to say I completely agree, too. The pink is a little overbearing and it makes more sense to have sky/rain blue and clouds pink....I guess? Hm.

So there we go. The teal version wins.

Alrighty... I've come up with a final design, trying to keep it appealing to children and parents as well as looking environmentally positive. Stuck between two colour choices still.

I very recently came across this pattern and am absolutely in love with the colour scheme so I've decided to pick a couple of colours out of this to use in the logo.

Preliminary logo ideas...

more jumbled ideas.

Activity 2

Part 2: I found an image of the Australian landscape simply by Googling 'Australian landscape'.

Activity 1

1. What symbols has the company used to represent the brand? Does the brand use any Australian symbols or Icons in their design (if so; identify the symbols and their meanings)
2. What colours have the company used to represent the brand?

3. What sort of message do you think the colours are trying to convey?

4. What style of typography has the company used (serif/san serif/italic/bold) and what does
this say about the brand?

Kraft Foods Australia sports a plain two-coloured logo of just red and navy blue. It doesn't necessarily look Australian, but it's straight forward and bold so it catches the eye easily. It show simplicity, which I personally think is a good thing when it comes to being a food brand. The font that is used is a heavy sans serif, which works well with the overall "neatness" of the logo's appearance.
